Case Studies Project Management City of San Diego Extension of Mira Sorrento Place and Carroll Canyon Road As part of an engineering and construction project in the City of San Diego, Public Solutions provides community relations activities and project management for road extension projects totaling $15 million dollars in the Mira Mesa and Sorrento Valley area. We coordinate with City staff, outside consultants and contractors to ensure the project stays on track. Newland - Torrey Hills Public Solutions provided project management, community relations, government relations, and special event planning services for the developer of Torrey Hills, during the completion of Torrey Hills and Vista Sorrento Parkway. Throughout the project, Public Solutions met with representatives of the City of San Diego to address issues relating to landscaping, zoning, and traffic; and held a grand opening for Vista Sorrento Parkway, in partnership with the Mayor’s office and two city councilmembers. :: back to top Project Permitting Personally Fit Public Solutions assisted Personally Fit, a small business, in navigating through the web of city government. We provided government relations and community relations to obtain approvals of an extension to a City of San Diego Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for the Perfectly Fit rehabilitation center. We coordinated with Personally Fit owners and City staff to negotiate acceptable terms for the CUP extension, which met the City’s requirements while remaining reasonable for a small business. Stadium Golf Center Public Solutions provides government relations and project management for Stadium Golf Center, a golf entertainment complex in the Kearny Mesa area. Stadium Golf is seeking a new conditional use permit from the City of San Diego, allowing them to continue to operate on their current property. We provide project management by working with City staff and outside consultants, including traffic engineers and hydrologists, to complete a comprehensive submittal package for the City’s consideration. In addition, we work to mitigate community and City staff concerns about potential environmental impacts and have received unanimous support for Stadium Golf from two community groups. :: back to top |
